There are so many different styles of portraiture, and they are all wonderful in their own ways. Each photographer has a different take on what makes a family photo amazing, and that is a key element to consider when choosing your Knoxville family photographer. Think about how important it is to you that your photos will reflect authentic moments vs. poses, or if you want a little of both. I want you to look at your family’s photos in 20 years and see LIFE. I want you to cherish that they are candid moments mixed with a few posed smiles, but mostly that they are full of the messy and wonderful life as it was happening at that very moment in time.
This Melton Hill Park photo session with these two sweet brothers is one of my favorites for that very reason. Their mom contacted me before the shoot, and had a vision for a set of playful images that spoke to the essence of childhood and brotherhood. We carefully chose a photo session location close to Knoxville, TN that would allow us enough space to let the boys run, but also just the right light for the look we wanted.
These feisty brothers played hard, without much posing instruction, and enjoyed their play. I ran as fast as I could to keep up with them as they played hide and seek, picked wild flowers for mom, and got filthy dirty and soaked in the lake.
It was perfect.
